ROLE PURPOSE

The Manager, Patient services. is responsible for supporting innovative programs tailored for patients. This role involves developing customized solutions for different population segments through strong internal collaboration and external strategic partnerships in India. As a strategic position, the candidate must demonstrate process excellence in delivering priorities with patients at the center, aligning with AstraZeneca's values and behaviors. The manager must have expertise in program management, collaboration, negotiation, strong analytical skills, and data management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Collaboration and Drive PAP and PSP:

  • Coordinate with the commercial team (Sales), compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, and implementation partners to drive key patient service-initiated initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of patient’s services, continuously explore opportunities to improve patient services.
  • Visit key customers for feedback, oversee PAP & PSP progress, and maintain frequent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation to adhere to AstraZeneca's values.
  • Maintain and regularly update the historical database.
  • Analyze PSP/PAP reports and disseminate insights to relevant stakeholders to continually improve services.
  • Secure required skills on AstraZeneca's tools to manage effective execution of patient services

Stakeholder Management:

  • Map key stakeholders/accounts for PSP identify gaps/opportunities between PAP and PSP
  • Work cross-functionally with the team to improve patient services.
  • Ensure successful execution of program roll-out across internal and external customers with training and awareness initiatives.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings to track effective program execution, ensuring improvement in enrollment and treatment continuity.
  • Analyze and distribute monthly reports across departments to track program progress.
  • Conduct fieldwork with strategic partners and the commercial team to explore opportunities and gather feedback.
  • Manage resources for both internal teams and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with supply chain and distributors to ensure minimal turnaround time for therapy accessibility.

  • Deep understanding of Indian healthcare market segmentation and population economic segmentation.
  • Skilled in using MS Office for data analysis and management.
  • Good understanding of access attributes and barriers (specific to therapy).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and partnerships within LOC and Regional stakeholders.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Must be a graduate/postgraduate with at least 8-9 years of overall pharma experience, including experience in Market Access and Patient Assistance Programs (Desirable, PAP/PSP experience for 2 years)
  • Must possess strong analytical, project management, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Must excel in cross-functional collaboration with good command of Excel management and proposal development.
